Increases for Bally Technologies

One of the world’s top gaming-systems company, Bally Technologies reported increases in income. Bally’s product line includes reel-spinning slot machines, video slots, wide-area progressives, and Class II, lottery and central determination games and platforms. Bally Technologies saw higher income in the first quarter of 2010 in its first quarter fiscal earnings report. Bally Technologies also offers an array of casino management, slot accounting, bonusing, cashless and table management solutions.
The Las Vegas-based gaming supply company saw net income increase slightly to $31 million, or 53 cents per share, during the first quarter of 2010 compared to $30 million, or 52 cents per share, in the same period of 2009. Revenue fell 17.7 percent to $195.5 million from $237.4 million during the year-over-year period. However, casino operations revenue fell 8 percent to $9.2 million during the first quarter of 2010 from $10 million in the same quarter of 2009.
The Bally brand earned its reputation as an early maker of pinball games, and later with developing slot machines. It also has been associated with both the health club and hotel and resort industries.
