The town of Mesquite is a short drive of 77 miles northeast of Las Vegas. There is four major casino resorts in Mesquite including, Si Redd's Oasis, Virgin River Hotel-Casino, Players Island Resort Casino Spa and Stateline Casino. Mesquite is an affordable adventure from Las Vegas with many things to do for people of all ages.

Some activities include hikes of all levels, shooting ranges, mountain bike trails, nature tours, tennis, sporting clays, or even relax at the health spa. For family fun, visit the Cosmic Bowling Center Complex open 24 hours, which includes Bingo, Arcade, Snack Shop, Lounge, Pro Shop and a 24-lane state of the art Bowling Center. A short distance from Mesquite people can find the Virgin River Gorge. In the summer, Mesquite becomes a really spirited place during the Running of the Bulls.

Golf enthusiasts will find many great courses as this is one of the main attractions of Mesquite. The Oasis Golf Club features two 18-hole courses, The Palmer course and The Canyons course. The Arnold Palmer designed Palmer course was rated among the top 10 public courses by Golf Digest. Coyote Springs Golf Course is placed between two picturesque mountain ranges in the high desert. This course is only 50 miles north of Las Vegas, offering a breathtaking par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature design. The Cal Olsen-designed CasaBlanca Golf Club lies etched into the wetlands of the Mesquite Valley. This beautiful course winds in and out of the Virgin River. Accommodations in Mesquite include the Desert Palms Motel, Mesquite Blvd which ranges from $20-35. The Holiday Inn - Rancho Mesquite, 301 Mesa Blvd costs between $50-60 a night. For gamblers there is the Oasis Resort Hotel Casino costing $29-59.  Another is the Casa Blanca Hotel Casino, 950 West Mesquite Blvd ranging from $49 to 79. The State Line Casino 490 Mesquite Blvd  is very affordable at $25 per night. Other places to stay include Valley Inn Motel 791 W Mesquite Blvd pricing at $34-59 and the Virgin River Hotel 100 Pioneer Blvd costing $35 to 45 a night.
